Coweta County Jail Roster Overview
The official Coweta County inmate records route starts with the Sheriff's Office and its Police-to-Citizen portal. The sheriff's site links users to an inmate search, and the P2C inmate catalog route exists at the official Coweta agency portal. Research on June 4, 2026 found a sharp limit: Coweta's P2C settings exposed inmate search criteria, but the enabled-module list did not include Inmates and a live roster query returned "Module is not enabled." That means the portal should be named, but readers should not be told that every current inmate can be found online.
The Coweta County Jail at Greison Trail remains the first fallback. The Jail Division operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and handles county arrestees, pretrial detainees, local sentenced inmates, warrants, holds, and transport custody. If a recent arrest does not appear online, the person may still be in intake, the module may be disabled, the person may have bonded out, or custody may have moved to GDC, BOP, USMS, ICE, or another county. That is why Coweta County inmate records work best as a chain of official access channels.
Use the Coweta County Inmate Roster
Start with the Coweta P2C inmate catalog route because it is the sheriff-linked path. If the catalog loads, begin with a simple name search. Add filters only when the name is common or when many results appear. If the route fails or returns no roster, call Coweta County Jail at 770-253-1664 and ask for custody confirmation. For a copy of a booking record, proof of incarceration, or records connected to an incident, use Coweta County NextRequest.
- Open the sheriff-linked P2C portal and choose the inmate search route if it is available.
- Search by last name and first name first. Avoid over-filtering a new arrest.
- Add age, charge, arrest date, race, or sex only to narrow a large result set.
- If no result appears, call the jail because the module may be disabled or the booking may not be public yet.
- Search GDC, BOP, ICE, or VINELink only after deciding the custody type is no longer county jail custody.
The inmate catalog screenshot captured for the project shows the official route that Coweta County points users toward, but the surrounding copy must keep the live-module caveat visible.

Coweta County Roster Search Fields
The P2C search criteria endpoint for Coweta exposed fields for names, age, charge, arrest date, race, and sex. The fields are not the same as a full inmate profile. They are ways to filter the result set when the public module is available. Race and sex use coded list values from P2C, while dates are submitted in MM/DD/YYYY format. The P2C component also supports advanced filters, selected-filter chips, sorting, "Load More" pagination, and a result count.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last Name | Text | Unspecified | Best first field for a Coweta County jail roster search. |
| First Name | Text | Unspecified | Use to reduce common-name matches. |
| Middle Name | Text | Unspecified | Useful when legal names are similar. |
| Age | Number | Unspecified | Observed app defaults use 0 to 99. |
| Charge | Text | Unspecified | Free-text search for listed charge terms. |
| Arrest Date | Date | Unspecified | P2C formats dates as MM/DD/YYYY for criteria. |
| Race | List | No or unspecified | Uses P2C-coded options such as B, W, A, U, and O. |
| Sex | List | No or unspecified | Uses M, F, or U values. |
Coweta County Inmate Profile Fields
No live named Coweta inmate sample was copied because the module returned disabled. The P2C component and Coweta settings still show the kind of profile fields the public system is configured to support. Coweta settings show booking agency and bond amount can display, while date of birth, home address, holding facility, arresting agency, arrest notes, properties, release date/time, and release reason are not configured for public display. A profile can therefore be useful without showing all personal or housing details.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot / image | P2C supports card images, but Coweta's live inmate module appeared unavailable during research. |
| Full name | Last, first, middle, and suffix formatting in the inmate card title. |
| Demographics | Age, gender, race, height, and weight, while DOB and home address are hidden by Coweta settings. |
| Dates | Arrest date and court date when present; release fields are supported but not fully displayed by settings. |
| Charges | Primary charge plus charge rows with status, docket number, bond type, bond status, and bond amount. |
| Bond | Total bond amount is not hidden by Coweta's P2C setting. |
| Agency | Booking agency can display; arresting agency and holding facility are not configured for public display. |
| Traits and SMT | Traits and scars, marks, or tattoos are not hidden by current settings if data exists. |
Coweta County Inmate Record Fallbacks
A failed roster search should lead to official fallbacks, not to private inmate sites. Call Coweta County Jail at 770-253-1664 for current custody. Use the Sheriff's Office main number, 770-253-1502, when the question is a broader sheriff-office routing issue. The sheriff page also lists Precinct One at 55 Literary Lane as a place that provides proof of incarceration, which can matter when an employer, court, or family member needs documentation instead of a full booking packet.
For copies, Coweta County Sheriff's records requests go through NextRequest. The portal states that the first 15 minutes are no charge and that broad requests expected to exceed $25 receive a pre-retrieval estimate. Requesters should provide the full name, date of birth if known, approximate arrest or booking date, incident number, court case number if known, and the exact record needed. If the request includes a booking photograph, ask for the photo directly and be ready to use the Photo and Media Request Form or Booking Photo Affirmation Form for Media listed by the sheriff.

Coweta County Jail and GDC Search
The Coweta County jail roster and the Georgia Department of Corrections locator answer different questions. The jail roster is for local custody after arrest, bond, first appearance, short local sentence, or hold. GDC Find an Offender is for sentenced state offenders, including people assigned to Coweta County Correctional Institution. GDC warns that photographs display automatically if available and tells users to verify information by written correspondence with Inmate Records before relying on it as complete or factual.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Recent arrest / pretrial | Coweta P2C route or jail phone | Local sheriff-run custody at Greison Trail. |
| Local sentence or hold | Coweta County Jail | May involve bond, detainer, court transport, or local sentence. |
| Sentenced state offender | GDC offender search | State custody or county prison assignment. |
| Federal prisoner | BOP Inmate Locator | Federal sentenced or historical federal custody. |

Coweta County Jail Facilities
Coweta County inmate records can point to more than one physical place. The Coweta County Jail and Sheriff Michael S. Yeager Wing share the Greison Trail jail campus and use the sheriff's jail channels. Coweta County Correctional Institution is the Selt Road prison/correctional institution for primarily state offenders assigned by GDC. A user hearing "C-Pod," "Jail Annex," or "Yeager Wing" should still use Coweta County Jail phone, mail, money, and video-visit rules unless staff says otherwise.

Booking Process in Coweta County
A Coweta County arrest usually moves from transport to jail intake, identity confirmation, property inventory, fingerprints, booking photo if required, warrant or hold checks, medical and mental-health screening, bond entry, classification, and housing. Coweta jail FAQ material says the Sheriff's Office provides appropriate medical care but cannot discuss inmate medical issues with third parties because of HIPAA. Phone access is outgoing only, with no incoming calls accepted for inmates.
Booking charges are not convictions and are not always final court charges. The Solicitor-General reviews misdemeanor and traffic cases for State Court and files formal charges when appropriate. The District Attorney handles felony prosecution for the Coweta Judicial Circuit. When a roster lists an initial charge, later court records may show that the charge was amended, reduced, dismissed, accused, indicted, or resolved in a different way.
Coweta County Jail Visitation
Social visits at Coweta County Jail are not face-to-face visits. The jail FAQ says social visitors register at JailATM and request or schedule video visits. Each inmate receives one free video visit per week, and each visit is limited to 15 minutes. Attorneys have separate options, including a private booth at the jail, approved private JailATM video visits, and face-to-face contact in the jail area. Disciplinary segregation limits visits to attorneys, law enforcement, and chaplains.
| Visit Type | Schedule or Limit | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Social in-person | None | Face-to-face social visits no longer occur at Coweta County Jail. |
| Video visitation | One free visit per week; 15-minute limit | Register and schedule through JailATM. |
| Attorney video | Available | Private booth or approved attorney account through JailATM. |
| Attorney face-to-face | Available | Handled in the jail area under facility rules. |
Coweta County Jail Money
Commissary deposits and bond payments are separate. Coweta jail money can be deposited by mailed money order, bonding-area ATM with cash, credit, or debit card, or JailATM.com. Money orders should be made out to Coweta County Detention Center and include the inmate's full name and ID number. No more than $100 is accepted at one time, and money should arrive by 11:00 p.m. Sunday for store use that week.
| Item | Coweta Jail Rule |
|---|---|
| Money order fee | $2.50 transaction fee for money orders and cash. |
| Credit/debit fee | 10% transaction fee. |
| Deposit limit | No more than $100 accepted at any time. |
| Phone vendor | Paytel; billing or block issues at 800-729-8355. |
| Money release | Limited rules; no Wednesdays, weekends, or holidays after posting. |
Note: Confirm custody and facility location before sending money, scheduling video visits, or mailing a money order.
Coweta Inmate Search Problems
A missing Coweta County inmate record can mean several different things. The P2C module may be disabled, the booking may be too new, the name may be misspelled, the person may have bonded out, the person may have been transported to court, or another agency may now hold the person. A person sentenced to state custody should be checked through GDC. Federal pretrial custody may involve the U.S. Marshals, and immigration custody belongs in the ICE locator.
Use the record type to choose the next step. If the question is "where is this person now," call the jail or check the correct locator. If the question is "what charge was filed," search court records and clerk calendars. If the question is "can I get a copy," file through NextRequest or the clerk. A jail roster is useful, but it is not the complete Coweta County records system.
